Shenandoah County COVID-19 Nonprofit Recovery Assistance Grant
The Shenandoah County Covid-19 Nonprofit Recovery Assistance Grant program is now open and accepting applications from nonprofits.
The Shenandoah County Board of Supervisors understands the unprecedented hard times nonprofit organizations are facing because of Covid-19. To that end, the Board has set aside $100,000 for a Nonprofit Recovery Assistance Grant program through the CARES Act. The Shenandoah County Chamber of Commerce Nonprofit Council will assist the Shenandoah County Government to administer this grant program.
“The Chamber works diligently to support our county businesses and our nonprofit organizations. Our Nonprofit Council meets regularly and is well equipped to administer the grant program to deserving applicants. We are pleased to be included in this process and excited to be able to assist the County,” shared David Hutton, Chairman of the Chamber’s Board of Directors.
Shenandoah County Board of Supervisors Chairman Dick Neese remarked, “We recognize that COVID-19 has impacted many of our civic organizations as they serve our community and its citizens. We appreciate the Chamber’s partnership in facilitating the disbursement of a portion of these funds to those groups.”
Applications will be accepted and reviewed as received and the application period will be open until all funds are disbursed. The applications will be reviewed by a committee of the Chamber’s Nonprofit Council and Board of Directors.
