Bob is CEO of H.N. Funkhouser & Co. which operates Exxon, Shell, and Chevron bulk plants in Winchester, Woodstock, and Front Royal, including Handy Mart Convenience Stores with Dunkin Donuts, Subway, and Baskin Robbins ice cream and sells Industrial and Automotive lubricants in the Northern Shenandoah Valley.

Bob was born and raised in the Winchester area in Stephens City. He and his wife, Susan, have two daughters and four grandchildren. His daughters, Cary and Rieman, hold Executive level positions within H. N. Funkhouser.

Bob has been very active nationally in his company's industry, serving as President of the National Association of Texaco Wholesalers, Chairman of the Board of the Nat. Assoc of Texaco and Shell Marketers,  and Board Member for Pectin Financial for JP Morgan Chase bank in Texas. He also remains very active here at home, as a Rotarian and Major Donor in the Woodstock Club; Past President of the Woodstock Chamber, Belle Grove, and Virginia Lung Association Northern Region; volunteer for Access Independence; and Board member of the Stone House Foundation.
