Teetotalers and Moonshiners: Prohibition in Virginia, Distilled

On Tuesday, August 13th, the Shenandoah County Library will welcome the exhibit "Teetotalers & Moonshiners: Prohibition in Virginia, Distilled" with a special reception and film showing.

This event will feature Prohibition themed refreshments, the exhibit, and local history displays starting at 5:30PM with the showing of a pre-code, 1932 film about Prohibition and booze at 6:00PM in the activity room.

Teetotalers & Moonshiners: Prohibition in Virginia, Distilled is a traveling exhibition from the Library of Virginia presented with support from Virginia ABC and the Virginia Distillers Association.It examines the history of prohibition in the Commonwealth and its continued legacy.

The exhibit will be on display at the Shenandoah County Library from August 5-September 13.
